Security with online credit cards
4 July 2008
When using online credit cards, it's important to protect yourself from fraud and being scammed. If you lose your credit cards, or have them stolen, report them straight away to your credit card issuer so they can help.
Scammers will often use phishing to get the details of your online credit cards via emails claiming to be from your bank. If you ever receiving an email claiming to be from your bank, report it and don't respond or follow any links contained in the email.
Check your computer regularly for trojans as they can be used to log your keystrokes. This could lead to the scammers finding out the details of your online credit cards.
